Meet the VOLO Girls: Lacey

Hi! I’m Lacey Knuttila, and I graduated from the University of California, San Diego with my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) this past spring. I love all-things active and outdoors; beach volleyball, hiking, and snorkeling are some of my favorites!

What do you do at VOLO Beauty?

I am a Product Manager at VOLO. I manage our retail accounts, oversee marketing & ad creation, and work to ensure our day-to-day operations are running smoothly and efficiently. I am the liaison between our founders and our amazing team members so that everyone is in alignment with our company goals.

What’s your favorite part about working at VOLO Beauty?

The autonomy that you are given from day one is the best part. I started as an intern and was quickly given control over my own projects and tasks. Everyone on the team is open to new ideas and ways of doing things, which doesn’t happen as freely in a large company. The more you take on, the more your responsibility grows which is great; you really get what you put into the job!

What’s your favorite TV show right now?

Insecure -- currently between seasons right now, but I can’t wait for the new one to come out. It kills me!

What’s your favorite holiday?

4th of July all the way!

What’s your sign?

Libra...don’t know what it means

What’s your best skincare tip?

I generally don’t wear any makeup, so I’d say just sunscreen everyday.

What’s your hair care routine?

I have really thick wavy & curly hair, so I never brush it unless I’m about to have a hair shower (I wash it around twice per week). My hair seriously changed when I stopped brushing it when wet -- it’s a huge no-go if you have textured hair! I put a VOLO towel on immediately after I get out of the shower and leave it on for as long as possible (sometimes a few hours if I’m working). When I take it off, I put some Shea Butter & Coconut Oil hair serum on the ends and then braid my hair. I’ll either sleep on it or wait a few hours. I’ll then take the braid out and wear it natural. For me personally, minimizing the heat treatments keeps it really long and healthy!
