You Asked for This: Meet the VOLO Hero Hair Wrap

You have been asking us for this one for years.

Not in a vague way, either. In emails, in DMs, in reviews. The message was always some version of the same thing: I love the Hero, but there is too much of it for my hair.

So we made you a smaller one.

Meet the VOLO Hero Hair Wrap, $38, in Luna Gray and Cloud Pink. It is shaped to sit close to the head, it is built in the same Nanoweave® fabric as the Hero Hair Towel, so it dries hair up to 50% faster than a standard towel, and it has the same snug strap, so it stays exactly where you put it.

Which VOLO is right for your hair?

Here is the honest answer, and it is not only about length.

Your hair Reach for Price
Short Hero Hair Wrap $38
Medium, on the finer side Hero Hair Wrap $38
Medium, thick or curly Hero Hair Towel $48
Long Hero Hair Towel $48
Extra long, thick or curly Super Hero XL Hair Towel $54 to $58

If your hair is medium length, thickness is the tiebreaker. Fine or medium density, the Hair Wrap will hold it beautifully and feel lighter doing it. Thick, dense or curly, there is simply more hair to hold, and the Hero Hair Towel gives you the room to do it comfortably. If your hair is long and thick, the Super Hero XL has 30% more fabric and an extended strap built for exactly that.

Three sizes, one design. Whichever one fits you, you are getting the same fabric and the same strap.

What makes it a VOLO

Nanoweave® fabric. The same tight-weave fabric the Hero is built from. It is an elevated form of microfiber, engineered for wet hair rather than borrowed from the bathroom cupboard. It holds up to 10x its weight in water (Intertek-certified) and dries hair up to 50% faster than a standard towel.

The snug strap. This is the part people ask about most with any wrap-style product: does it stay on? Yes. It is the same snug strap system as the Hero Hair Towel, so you can bend over, make coffee, put on moisturizer and get dressed without holding it in place.

Made for shorter hair, on purpose. A towel built for long hair, used on short hair, bunches. This one is sized so there is no excess fabric to wrestle with.

How to wear it

  1. Squeeze the excess water out of your hair with your hands.
  2. Flip your head forward and lay the Wrap over the back of your head.
  3. Gather your hair in, twist once, and secure the strap.
  4. Leave it while you do everything else.

Then take it down, and get on with your day.

It also makes a lovely gift

At $38 it sits comfortably in Gifts Under $50, and it is the kind of present someone would not think to buy for herself. Pair it with the Face Towel at $28 or a Spa Headband at $16 for a small set that still feels generous.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best hair towel for short hair?

The VOLO Hero Hair Wrap ($38). It is shaped to sit close to the head and sized for short hair, so there is no excess fabric to bunch or slip. It is made from Nanoweave®, which holds up to 10x its weight in water (Intertek-certified) and dries hair up to 50% faster than a standard towel, and it uses the same snug strap as the VOLO Hero Hair Towel.

What is the difference between the VOLO Hero Hair Wrap and the Hero Hair Towel?

Size and fit. The Hair Wrap ($38) is smaller and built for short hair and finer medium-length hair. The Hero Hair Towel ($48) is larger and better for long hair, and for medium hair that is thick or curly. Both use the same Nanoweave® fabric, so both dry hair up to 50% faster than a standard towel and hold up to 10x their weight in water (Intertek-certified), and both use the same snug strap.

I have medium-length hair. Which one should I get?

Thickness decides it. If your hair is fine or medium density, choose the Hair Wrap. If it is thick or curly, choose the Hero Hair Towel, because there is more hair to hold.

Will a hair wrap stay on short hair?

Yes. The Hero Hair Wrap uses the same snug strap as the Hero Hair Towel, which is what keeps it in place while you move around.

What size hair towel do I need for thick hair?

For thick medium-length hair, the Hero Hair Towel ($48). For extra long and thick hair, the Super Hero XL Hair Towel ($54 to $58), which has 30% more fabric and an extended strap.

What colors does the Hero Hair Wrap come in?

Luna Gray and Cloud Pink.
