What is your every day or go to hairstyle?

“After shampooing & conditioning, I'll spray on some Moroccan Oil Protect & Prevent spray on the ends of my hair to moisturize my dry and damaged ends. Then I’ll use some Kristin Ess volumizing spray on my roots, as my hair is pretty flat and volume-less!”

Have you ever tried any drastic or out-of-character hairstyles?

“I've put light pink in my hair a couple times and was OBSESSED!!”

What is one non-negotiable part of your hair-care or styling routine?

“Blow drying my hair! Every once in a while I'll give it a break and let it air dry, but I really like the texture of my hair so much better when it's blow dried--it gives it a lot more volume!”

What is your favorite hair-care secret to gorgeous hair? (Ex - using hair masks, curling hair with a straightener, putting hair up in a microfiber towel, etc.)

“My hair tends to get super dry on the ends, especially during the summer, so I've been using a hair mask to bring it back to good health. I've also learned that blow drying your hair after applying dry shampoo makes it look a lot cleaner and gives it more volume.”

Who is your hair inspiration or hair goals? Why?

“LAUREN CONRAD! I've always gotten so much style and beauty inspiration from her, especially in the last several years. In fact, when she first chopped her hair off after getting married in 2014, I chopped mine off to a fresh lob just a few days later! Her hairstylist, Kristin Ess, is a hair genius and shares a lot of her styling secrets on Instagram. Every head of hair that she styles just looks so chic and has that effortless, cool girl vibe.”

If you could magically change your hair to any length and color for one day, what would your dream hair look like?

“I've always wanted long hair down to my lower back, and I [would] love a gorgeous blonde balayage with rose gold tips!”

What are you most proud of about your hair?

“Although, I can't help having blonde in my hair, I've learned to love my natural color--an ashy brown that naturally gets some golden highlights in the summer--in the past 10 years or so.”

How did you figure out what haircut/color is most flattering for you?

“Although, I've always wanted to grow out my hair, I've ended up chopping it off into a lob every few years or so. I also love ombre/balayage because you don't need to keep going back to get it colored and I love being both a brunette and blonde. My hair also tends to get super flat throughout the day, so if I'm taking the time to fully style my hair, I'll do tighter beach waves that loosen up throughout the day. I also have a pretty round face, so having full/curled hair is a lot more flattering than straight hair.”

If you had to pick one quote or short piece of advice to promote hair confidence and acceptance, what would it be?

"Life isn't perfect, but your hair can be." Life is definitely not perfect, but having a great hair day can totally give you a boost of confidence!
