VOLO Beauty started in 2016, when Ryan Goldman set out to build the cordless hair dryer the market didn't have yet. He did. The Hero Hair Towel came next, to finish the job the dryer started.

Here's the idea behind it: most of the damage done to hair happens before any heat tool is even switched on, while hair is wet and at its most vulnerable. So the healthiest thing you can do is get hair as dry as possible, as gently as possible, before heat ever touches it.

That's why we built Nanoweave®. We wanted to make the best hair towel that could exist, and the fabric we needed didn't exist yet, so we made it ourselves. It holds up to 10x its weight in water (Intertek-certified) and cuts drying time by up to 50%. We were also first to put a Snug Strap on the back of a hair towel. We're glad it caught on.

Today VOLO is at Target, Nordstrom, Dillard's, Bloomingdale's, Von Maur, QVC, and Amazon, and still growing. Named Best Hair Towel Overall by Byrdie (March 2026), and a two-time Allure Best of Beauty winner.
