Viviane is a wife, mother, and a lifestyle blogger. She started out on Instagram mainly sharing about faith, fashion, and fitness. But she quickly fell in love with blogging and wanted to share so much more.

What is your every day or go to hairstyle?

I usually flat iron my hair and wear it down if I can't tolerate it because of the hot weather, then up it goes in a ponytail or a messy bun. During the summer months, I may just wash it, mousse it and let it air dry for some curls.

Have you ever tried any drastic or out-of-character hairstyles?

I have! About 10 years ago I decided to go drastic with blonde highlights on my brunette hair.  While the change was exciting at first, I missed my naturally dark hair pretty quickly.. Then the highlights started to turn brassy and the whole look was not cute at all anymore! This was definitely out of character for me!

What is one non-negotiable part of your hair-care or styling routine?

The one non-negotiable part of my hair-care or styling routine is NOT washing my hair more than once a week. My hair tends to be on the dry side and it does not do well with too many washes.

What is your favorite hair-care secret to gorgeous hair? (Ex - using hair masks, curling hair with a straightener, putting hair up in a microfiber towel, etc.)

My secret to gorgeous hair is honestly something that I used to roll my eyes at when I used to hear it all the time - which is care from the inside and out! I used to be skeptical, but now, I totally get it: healthy eating, exercise and water intake do wonders! Once I started to eat cleaner, increase my water intake and exercise regularly, I saw a huge difference in the health of my hair and skin.

I also take collagen peptides to strengthen my hair from within and recently started doing hair masks (currently loving the Olaplex hair treatment). I feel like the combination of all these factors have made the biggest difference in the health of my hair.

Who is your hair inspiration or hair goals? Why?

Penelope Cruz has the most gorgeous brunette hair! I love her long, effortlessly tousled hair.

If you could magically change your hair to any length and color for one day, what would your dream hair look like?

I would keep my color but maybe try out a short bob just to see what I would look like because I have never had my hair that short. But, knowing myself, I would want my long hair back!

What are you most proud of about your hair?

I am proud of its length and how versatile it can be. I can sport a straight look, wavy look, super curly look. So while it sometimes it can be unruly, I love that I have texture that I can mold into different hairstyles.

How did you figure out what haircut/color is most flattering for you?

It's a scary road because you have to hit a couple of misses before you figure out what works for you - but for me, it is good old trial-and-error! At the end of the day, it is just hair and with the right maintenance and care, you can revert it back to health if you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of a bad perm for example.

If you had to pick one quote or short piece advice to promote hair confidence and acceptance, what would it be?

Like I said before, I cannot stress enough "beauty from within". So eat those veggies, drink that water and go on that walk! Trust me, you may not see a difference as quickly as an expensive product might promise, but you will see the biggest impact in the long run. Your future self (with your future gorgeous hair) will thank you!
